2024 Brisbane International Tennis Schedule & Dates
The 2024 edition of the ATP Brisbane International will be played in the first week of January with its first round matches to begin from Monday, January 1. The final will be held on Sunday, January 7.
Qualifiers for the ATP Brisbane will be held on Saturday and Sunday before the start of the tournament.

What Happened at the 2023 Brisbane International Tennis?
The tournament has not been played since 2019 on the men’s circuit and 2020 on the women’s circuit.
In 2020, world no. 2, Karolina Pliskova successfully defended her title at Brisbane International winning her third title at the tournament defeating Madison Keys 6-4, 4-6, 7-5 over a match that lasted more than two hours.
This was the first meeting among the pair and was not less than a thrilling match ahead of the Australian Open winning Pliskova her third title in four years. Having overcome Ajla Tomljanovic and Alison Riske in the earlier rounds, Pliskova found herself against world no. 3 Naomi Osaka.
Pliskova defeated Osaka 6-7 (10), 7-6 (3), 6-2 in a memorable match that lasted for nearly three hours with the former hitting 15 aces in the last set alone. Keys, who faced fan-favorite Samantha Stosur in her round of 16 match, won her earlier rounds in two-sets with her impressive form.
The 24-year-old then faced Petra Kvitova in the semi-finals who she defeated coming from a set down.
The doubles title was taken by the top seed pair of Barbora Strycova and HsiehSu-wei as they sailed through to their finals match against Ashleigh Barty and Kiki Bertens where they fought hard for a 3-6 7-6 (9-7) 10-8 victory despite the runners-up holding one match point.
2019 was the last season when both men’s and women’s tournaments were played at the Brisbane International. Karolina Pliskova kick-started her season with a bang as she won the title by beating Lesia Tsurenko in the final in three sets.
She came back from a set deficit to lift the title. Rather interestingly, in a tournament consisting of the likes of Svitolina, Osaka, Stephens and Kvitova, she faced none of the seeded players in the entire competition.
Osaka, who would later go on to lift the title at the Australian Open, was ousted by Tsurenko in the semifinal while Stephens and Kvitova didn’t even reach the quarterfinals. The other losing semifinalist was Donna Vekic.
