Petra Kvitova v Ons Jabeur Head to Head

This is the first meeting between the two ladies on the tour.

Kvitova Coming Off an Injury

Petra Kvitova, who has been in a sensational form for most of the season, was forced to take a pause in May when she injured her arm. Following a recovery period of more than a month, the Czech is now back in action, ready to give it a try. However, it is still not certain if she has recovered 100%.

Through the year, she delivered a series of excellent results – she reached the final in the Australian Open and WTA Dubai and won the title in Stuttgart and Sydney. She was on course to deliver similar results on clay before retiring from the Italian Open and subsequently, the Roland Garros.

Kvitova is set to enter the tournament with low expectations. During her practice sessions, she couldn’t really hit much as she later told the reporters. In fact, she is being very cautious and there is a small chance that the two-time winner may pull out of the tournament.

Jabeur, with Aces up her Sleeve

Last week in Eastbourne, the 24-year-old Tunisian delivered the best performance of her season while surprising many, many spectators in the process.

With all odds stacked against her, Jabeur reached the semifinal of the Premier event, upsetting Johanna Konta and Alize Cornet on the way there. While she ultimately fell to Angelique Kerber, it was still a brilliant run.

Before that, Jabeur mainly lost in the initial rounds. She incurred a series of early defeats in many big events and at times, she failed to move past the first round as well. Her best performance till date came in the Kremlin Cup, where she lost in the final.

Kvitova v Jabeur Predictions & Tips

On any other day, Kvitova could win this match without putting a lot of effort. But in the given scenario, it is tough to say how far the Czech will go. Jabeur will look to exploit this weakness and try to make things as precarious as possible for her adversary. Expect Kvitova to win this match at the end, but it may not be an efficient win.

Tip: Over 16.5 games in the match. (888Sport)
