Roger Federer v Rafael Nadal Head to Head
The two players have met 39 times in this storied rivalry with Nadal leading 24-15 going into chapter 40. Their Grand Slam head-to-head is 10-3 in favor of Nadal, while Federer leads 2-1 on grass.

Federer got into his groove soon thereafter playing a strong second set winning 6-1. There was no looking back thereafter with him winning in four sets 4-6,6-1,6-4,6-4, making his 45th Grand Slam semi-final.
Federer is looking at a potential 21st major title if he were to win his 9th Wimbledon title this week. His next opponent is arch rival and world number two Rafael Nadal.
Nadal Looking at a Sixth Wimbledon Final
World number two Rafael Nadal began his Wimbledon campaign, with a convincing win against Japanese Yuichi Sugita in straight sets before running into a mouth-watering second round matchup against Aussie Nick Kyrgios. In a closely fought and very entertaining ‘grudge match’ on Center Court, Nadal came through in four sets, winning the last two in tiebreakers.
The Spaniard’s Wimbledon campaign that took off then has never looked back with convincing straight set wins against Jo-Wilfriend Tsonga, Joaoa Souza and Sam Querrey. Nadal has been serving better than usual on grass, and his return game has been consistent.
Nadal is a two time Wimbledon champion and comes to Wimbledon without playing any of the warm-up tournaments on grass, at the back of an exhausting and successful clay court season, which saw him winning the French Open for a record twelfth time.
The Spaniard is eyeing winning the back-to-back duo of the French Open and Wimbledon for a third time in his career.
Roger Federer v Rafael Nadal Predictions & Tips
Both players have been in supreme form coming into this match. Both have been serving well, with Federer only broken three times thus far at the tournament. The grass courts are a touch slower this time, with the heavier balls also slowing down the play somewhat and it has taken Federer some getting used to, and suited Nadal well.
This promises to be a battle of small margins, with a lot dependent on the Nadal forehand versus the Federer backhand. How well Federer serves will be crucial to the outcome of the match. The Swiss will look to play an attacking brand of tennis that has worked so well for him at Center Court and at Wimbledon in general.
At the back of a successful and confident campaign here, the Spaniard will believe he can win this much hyped contest.
