Felix Auger-Aliassime v Tennys Sandgren Head to Head
The pair have never played each other before. This will be the first match between the 20-year old Canadian, and the American nine years his senior.

Aliassime Becoming the Nearly Man?
Although still only 20, Auger-Aliassime is acquiring a reputation as a nearly man, Since the start of 2019, he has been in five ATP finals and lost them all. That run began last year when he was a beaten finalist in Rio, Lyon and Stuttgart, but injury brought an early end to his season and he mixed the NextGen ATP finals in Milan.
He was fully recovered by the start of the year, but suffered a disappointing first round defeat in Melbourne to the Latvian Ernests Gulbis. However, he was soon back on the winning trail again, and reached his first final of the year in Rotterdam, only to lose to Gael Monfils.
The same thing happened the next week in Rotterdam, with the difference being that he lost to Stefanos Tsitsipas on that occasion.
His last match before lockdown was a second-round defeat to Kyle Edmund in Acapulco.
The Canadian has played in various exhibition matches since, and that might have helped his cause when he defeated the world number 27, Nikoloz Basilashvili of Georgia, in straight sets on return.

Sandgren, an Experienced American Pro
Sandgren is an experienced professional, who, at one stage, was best known for his surprise quarter-final appearance in the 2018 Australian Open quarter-final. However, later that year, he reached his first final in Houston, and the following year, lifted his first tile in Auckland, beating Cameron Norrie in the final.
That gave him a career high ranking of 41, although he has since slightly slipped back.
He began his year in Auckland, where he could not defend his title, losing in the second round, but then reached the last eight in Melbourne again before losing to Roger Federer in an epic five-set battle. One reckons he might have taken some time to overcome that loss given he was that close to causing the biggest upset of his career.
His last match before lockdown was a defeat to compatriot Steve Johnson in New York.
He played in a few exhibition games since that time and is well up to speed in terms of match fitness, as he showed with his defeat of the Italian Lorenzo Sanogo, ranked 46 in the world, on Saturday.
Felix Auger-Aliassime v Tennys Sandgren Prediction & Tip
This should be a good battle between the young Canadian and the experienced American. However, Auger-Aliassime should have too many weapons at his disposal for Sandgren, and should win in the end.
Tip: Auger Aliassime to win in straight sets: 11/8 (bet365)
