Harmony Tan v Daniela Seguel Head to Head
Seguel has a 2-1 head to head lead against Tan.
Tan won the first contest in Grenoble in 2014. While the Chilean took the next two in Bucaramanga in 2015 and in Limoges in 2017.

World No. 190 Harmony Tan of France knocked out Romania’s Mihaela Buzarnescu in the first round of the Bogota Open.
The 23-year-old right-hander, who entered the main draw through the qualifiers, needed an hour and 43 minutes to beat the 32-year-old Romanian 6-3, 6-3.
Playing in only her second tournament at the top level in 2021, after making a first-round exit in Lyon, Tan improved to 8-3 in all competitions across levels. She had begun the year by winning her seventh ITF title in France.
In Bogota, Tan had qualified for the main draw by beating Russia’s Yan Sizikova in three sets and Slovenia’s Dalila Jakupovic in straight sets.
In her first round match, Tan saved seven of 10 break points and converted six of 10 to defeat the World No. 136.

Seguel Upsets the Fourth Seed
Facing Tan in the next round will be Chilean qualifier Daniela Seguel, who rallied from a set down to upset fourth seed Clara Tauson of Denmark in the first round.
Seguel needed two hours and 23 minutes to shock the 18-year-old Lyon Open champion 3-6, 6-3, 6-2.
The Chilean made just three double faults compared to her opponent’s 11, got 72% of her first serves right, and won 56 % of them. She also saved 12 of 17 break points while breaking her opponent’s serve on seven occasions. However, she also wasted 11 other break point chances.
Ranked 213th in the world, Seguel had defeated the United States’ Daniela Lao in the first round of qualifying and Germany’s Katharina Gerlach in the second. She wasn’t troubled by either of those two opponents, winning the one-sided contest with ease.
The 28-year-old, who has 16 titles from 23 finals at the ITF Circuit, had won just once from her five matches prior to the start of the Bogota Open qualifiers in 2021.
Seguel had begun the year by defeating the Netherlands’ Bibiane Schoofs in the first round of the Australian Open qualifiers. Since then, she lost to Serbia’s Aleksandra Kuric in the second qualifying round and three consecutive ITF matches before coming to Bogota.

Two of their three previous meetings have needed a third set and both have shared the spoils in three-set contests. With both having punched above their weight in the first round, they will be confident going into the Round of 16. However, Seguel will have a slight edge, given she defeated the fourth seed and that too after losing the first set.
