Lloyd Harris v Ricardas Berankis Head to Head
There has been one previous meeting between these two players and Harris had won that one on the hard courts of the 2018 Washington Open.

Harris 3-3 on Grass This Season
There have been three weeks of grass court tournaments this season and Harris is one of those players who has appeared in the main draws of all those three tournaments.
He enters Wimbledon on a 3-3 win-loss record, having won a round at Stuttgart and made the quarterfinal in Halle with two of his wins including opponents like Gael Monfils and Gilles Simon.
While that’s not a record to boast about, what one needs to look at is Harris’ previous results on grass. Spread across three seasons, he had participated in five grass court tournaments and not won a single main draw encounter.
These three wins this season were the first three of his career on this surface.
And it’s not just that but also that Harris has had a decent overall time in 2021. The South Africa made it to his second ATP final and while he didn’t win it, it helped him break into the top 50 on the charts.
Can he now win his first ever match at Wimbledon?

Berankis Has Had His Grass Troubles
While Harris had never won a match on grass before this season, Berankis had done that before but he possesses a horrid win-loss record to go with it.
Of the 20 matches Berankis has played on this surface, he has registered just four victories. This year, he featured in the Halle Open qualifiers, won both of them in straight sets to make the main draw before crashing out in his opener against Kei Nishikori.
Earlier, Berankis did register back to back wins at French Open including one against Ugo Humbert in the first round before going down to the world number one Novak Djokovic.
And while that performance on clay might not affect how he goes about his business on grass, it should boost his confidence – something to take from his recent performances into one of the biggest tournaments of the season.
Can he take down Harris in this one though?
Harris v Berankis Prediction and Tip
This might not be a straightforward call but between two players who don’t do too well on grass we have to look at who comes into this with any kind of edge and we believe it’s Harris, who has not just won a few main draw rounds on grass this year but also has had a season to remember.
Tip: Harris to win AND Both players to win a set: 13/8 (Click Here to Bet with bet365)
