After three successive exits at the first round stage, Alexandrova finally managed to make it to the second round in this competition and she did it quite easily in the end.
The Russian defeated Laura Siegemund 6-1, 6-3 in exactly one hour to register her second main draw win at Wimbledon – having last done it in 2016.
Alexandrova hammered five aces and 25 winners as compared to just one and seven respectively from Siegemund and while she broke her opponent four times, the Russian managed to escape without a single break of serve.
The only time Alexandrova felt any pressure on her serve was when she served for the first set at 5-1; she needed to save three break-points before closing it out. There were no such issues in the second set, as the German Open quarterfinalist closed it out with back to back breaks of serves.

Osorio Serrano Takes Down Fellow Qualifier
In a slightly bizarre battle of qualifiers, Osorio Serrano came through in three sets against Anna Kalinskaya to seal her spot in the round of 64.
The 94th-ranked from Colombia, who has had a season to remember so far, won her maiden Wimbledon main draw match on debut as she overcame Kalinskaya 1-6, 6-0, 6-4 in an hour and 31 minutes to seal her second round place.
Osorio Serrano was broken in the very first game and then again in the fifth and seventh game of the opening set but just when one thought Kalinskaya would run away with the encounter, the Colombian rose from the ashes.
She got three break points in the second set, converted each of them to bagel her opponent and then made it four breaks in a row to take a 2-0 lead in the final set.
Kalinskaya pulled one back, lost serve again and then broke Osorio Serrano to make it 4-4 but another loss of serve followed and the Colombian served it out to win her opener.
