Novak Djokovic v Marton Fucsovics Head to Head
There have been two previous meetings between these two players and Djokovic has won both times. The first of those matches came at the 2018 US Open in the first round and rather interestingly, Fucsovics had managed to take a set off his opponent. Djokovic won their second match at the 2019 Doha Open in straight sets.

The last time Djokovic lost a match to someone not Rafael Nadal was in April in Belgrade when he went down to Aslan Karatsev. Since then, the world number one has played 20 matches and his only defeat came to Nadal in the final of Italian Masters.
And the latest victim in his run of 15 successive wins was Cristian Garin who was simply run over by the sheer mental and physical toughness of the world number one.
Djokovic ran away to a 6-2, 6-4, 6-2 victory in an hour and 51 minutes, in a match that reeked of near perfection from the Serb. Breaking his opponent five times in the encounter, Djokovic faced just two break-points and saved both of them with ease.
And while Djokovic might want to work on the 23 unforced errors he made, there were nine aces and 28 winners to go with that and that made life very easy for him.
The world number one now faces an unseeded player but one who took out the world number seven in the fourth round.

Fucsovics Comes Through in Five-Set Thriller
It turned out to be a ripper of a fourth round match but one which saw Fucsovics finally managing to get past Andrey Rublev after a string of losses this very year.
Fucsovics was on court for two hours and 44 minutes and needed five sets to win 6-3, 4-6, 4-6, 6-0, 6-3 in a match that swung like a pendulum before the Hungarian got himself a decisive break of serve in the sixth game of the final set.
A booming 41 winners off the racquet of Fucsovics and nine aces to boot helped him undo the Rublev hold who was broken seven time in the encounter.
The Hungarian number one, who has been playing at Wimbledon since 2011 but won just one match before this, had earlier sent out Jannik Sinner and Diego Schwartzman in the competition. And he had come into this tournament in the back of one win and two losses on grass this year too, before this turnaround.
Djokovic might prove to be a bridge too far to cross but he could put up a hell of a fight.
Djokovic v Fucsovics Prediction and Tip
It looks like Djokovic is destined to get to his number 20 major win with his path getting clearer regularly. This time around it’s Rublev who has been sent packing and Djokovic should have no issues getting past Fucsovics – the only question is if Fucsovics can try and eke out a set or even push his opponent into a tie-breaker.
