Jan-Lennard Struff v Laslo Djere Head to Head
The pair have met twice before, and Struff has won on both occasions. Their first meeting came in the hard courts of Auckland in 2019, when Lajovic was forced to retire with Struff a set and a break to the good. And the second was on the gras of Halle a few months later.

Struff Still Searching for Elusive First Title
Struff has been a pro since 2009 but he is still searching for his elusive first senior ATP singles title, although he has won three tournaments in doubles.
Two months ago, he came the closest he has ever been, reaching the final of the Munich Open on home soil, only to lose in the end to the Georgian Nikoloz Basilashvili, in straight sets.
He then built on that success to reach the fourth round of the French Open for the first time, eventually losing to Diego Schwartzman.
The German was hopeful of another good run at Wimbledon, where he had reached the quarter-finals in 2018. However, he has the misfortune to be drawn against the number two seed, Daniil Medvedev, in the first round and was defeated in four sets.

Djere, a Beaten Finalist in Sardinia
Like Struff, Djere has been in the fianl of a clay court event this year and lost, except in his case it was the Sardinia Open, and the man who defeated him was the Italian Lorenzo Sonego, although Djere came within two points of winning that match.
That was his third senior final in all – he won the previous two, in Sardinia last year, and in Rio in 2019.
After Sardinia, he lost hs next four matches, before experiencing a return to some form in Geneva where he reached the third round and also at Roland Garros, where he also got to that stage before losing to Alexander Zverev.
At Wimbledon he beat Pablo Cuevas of Uruguay in the first round, but his run was ended by another Italian, Fabio Fognini.
Struff v Djere Prediction and Tip
Although this will be their first match in clay, Struff has won the previous two matches between these two, and is playing in home conditions. That should give the German the edge.
