Jenson Brooksby v Peter Gojowczyk Head to Head
This will be a first meeting between the 20-year-old Brooksby and the 31-year-old Gojowczyk.

20-year-old American Jenson Brooksby, playing his first grass court tournament as a professional, reached a maiden ATP quarterfinal with a three-set win over compatriot Denis Kudla on Wednesday.
Brooksby saved six of nine break points and converted four of eight to win the two-hour-and-24-minute contest 6-3, 4-6, 7-5.
Brooksby won 66 percent service points and 42 percent return points, winning a total of 100 of 186 points in the match.
The 6’4″ right-hander had begun his Newport campaign with a 7-5, 6-3 win against Russia’s Evgeny Donskoy.
Ranked 152nd in the world, Brooksby has featured in four Challenger finals this year, winning three of them. He defeated Teymuraz Gabashvili for the title in Potchefstroom, finished runner-up to Bjorn Fratangelo in Cleveland, and beat Kudla and Fratangelo for the Orlando and Tallahassee titles respectively.

Gojowczyk Looking to Reach a Second Semifinal in 2021
Facing the up-and-coming American will be 31-year-old German Peter Gojowczyk, who defeated fourth seed Canadian Vasek Pospisil 6-3, 6-3 in the Round of 16 on Wednesday.
The German right-hander won 88percent first-serve points and broke his opponent’s serve four times to win the contest in 78 minutes.
Gojowczyk was dominant in the first round as well, defeating American qualifier Mitchell Krueger 6-2, 6-2 in just 63 minutes.
The 2017 Moselle Open champion, Gojowczyk has also had two runner-up finishes at Delray Beach and Geneva in 2018. The World No. 131 had come into the tournament with a 4-3 record this year, which included a run to the semifinals in Montpellier. The German improved his career grass record to 11-11 on Wednesday and will be hoping to make the final four of a tournament for the second time this year.
Brooksby v Gojowczyk Prediction and Tip
Brooksby has been exceptional at the Challenger level and he is now making an impression on the tour. Gojowczyk has more experience and has looked good in the first two rounds, but will be wary of the rising young star. Expect a third set to separate the two.
