Novak Djokovic v Taylor Fritz Head to Head
Djokovic holds a 4-0 lead over Fritz, last defeating the American in the Rome Masters this year in straight sets.

Fritz Breezes Past Norrie
24-year-old Taylor Fritz needed just an hour and 33 minutes to move past the Brit Cameron Norrie in round three. It was an impressive performance by the American against the No. 10 seed, having won 83 per cent of his first service points with 26 winners.
Fritz now finds himself in his toughest match yet, but there is some cause for optimism here. In the second round, he moved past the fifth-seeded Andrey Rublev in straight sets and before arriving in Paris, his win-loss tally was 8-2 in his last two events.
The current World No. 26 was a runner-up in the St. Petersburg Open and prior to that, a semifinalist in the Indian Wells Masters. On clay and grass, Frtiz’s form wasn’t that great but at the start of the year, he did reach the semis in Doha and the fourth-round at the Miami Masters.
It is also worth mentioning that in the Australian Open, Fritz fell to Djokovic in the third round but it wasn’t before he made the top seed sweat through to five sets. The fact that he managed to put up such a resilient performance against Djokovic only serves as a strong foundation to build upon.

Djokovic Gets a Walkover
Novak Djokovic was slated to play Gael Monfils in the third round but the Frenchman withdrew from the match. As a result, World No. 1 got a walkover in the quarters with an extra day of rest.
So far in the Paris Masters this year – a tournament where he is a five-time champion and a finalist in 2018 – Djokovic has only played Marton Fucsovics and prevailed in three sets.
Looking at the Serb’s overall season, it has been just as impressive as any. Djokovic won three of the four Grand Slams, except for the US Open where he lost to Daniil Medvedev in the final. The 20-time major champion was also a finalist in the Italian Open and won the home tournament in Belgrade.
His tally for the season stands at 44-6 – truly fitting for the best player in the world right now.
Djokovic v Fritz Prediction and Tip
Djokovic is in red-hot form and is definitely ready for the semifinal. Fritz, following his recent spree on the tour, will fancy his chances of delivering the upset. It won’t be an easy match but he will be confident of giving Djokovic a solid fight.
We may see three sets here that may ultimately lead to a win for the Serb.
