Taylor Fritz v Egor Gerasimov Head to Head
The pair have never played each other before. This will be the first match between the 24 year old American, and the player from Belarus.

Fritz has saved his very best form until the end of the season, beginning with Indian Wels where he got to the semi-finals before losing to Nikoloz Basilashvili.
Hen n St. Petersburg, he reached his first final for more than 18 months, and took Marin Cilic to three sets before eventually losing.
And last week, at the Paris Masters, he reached the quarter-finals, along the way beating Andrey Rublev and ending the hopes of Cameron Norrie of reaching the ATP Finals in Turin, before he was beaten by the world number one, Novak Djokovic.
Although this is the last tournament of the season on the ATP tour, Fritz can still achieve things in Stockholm. A decent haul of ranking points will see him overtake Reilly Opelka to become the second ranked American at the year end, and he could begin next season ranked in the top 25.

Gerasimov Eclipsed by Ivashka
Gerasimov reached his first ATP final in January last year before lockdown, losing to Jiri Vesely in Pune.
But hs status as the number one player from Belarus has been taken this year by Ilya Ivashka, and his world ranking has gone backwards.
Gerasimov’s best recent result was in Moscow, where he came through qualifying to make the second round. He again fought his way through the qualifying competition in St. Peterburg, but was beaten in the first round by another American Mackenzie McDonald.
He failed to qualify in :Paris last week, and lost his second qualification match in Stockholm to the Russian world number 272 Pavel Kotov.
However,. he has been given a reprieve and enters the first round as a lucky loser.
Fritz v Gerasimov Prediction and Tip
Given the current form that Fritz is in, it is hard to see beyond anything other than a comfortable victory for the American against the lucky loser.
