Lorenzo Musetti v Taro Daniel Head to Head
The pair have met once before in a Challenger event in Milan in 2019, Musetti wining in straight sets for the loss of just one game.

Musetti began 2021 strongly, finishing runner-up in two Challenger events, and then, switching to the main tour, he reached the semi-finals in Acapulco and Lyon, and almost upset Novak Djokovic at the French Open.
At that stage the teenager seemed to have the world at his feet, but personal problems and the decision to finish his high school education impacted his form in the second half of the season, although his results were still good enough for him to qualify for the end of season Nextgen ATP finals in Milan, although he failed to do himself justice in front of his home crowd.
Now with the benefits of a few weeks off, he will be looking to continue his upward climb in the rankings once more.

Japanese Number Three Daniel
Daniel is currently the third ranked Japanese player and was picked to represent his country at the Olympics last year.
Forced to enter into the qualifying competition in Adelaide, he beat first Edward Winter and then the top seed Oscar Otte, both in straight sets, to earn his place in the main draw.
H will be looking to improve on what was a very modest record in 2021 – of his 11 main draw appearances in ATP senior tournaments, he failed to get beyond the first round on eight occasions, the one exception being in Belgrade on clay, when he reached the semi-finals a lucky loser.
Musetti v Daniel Prediction and Tip
The only time the pair met previously, Musetti trounced Daniel. The Japanese will be hoping to put up a much better showing this time round, but the outcome is likely to be the same.
