Alex de Minaur v Jannik Sinner Head to Head
The pair have played each other twice before, beginning with the 2019 NextGen ATP final in Milan, which Sinner won in straight sets.
They also met a year later in Sofia, the Italian coming from behind on that occasion to win in three sets,

De Minaur Carrying Australian Hopes
De Minaur has been carrying Australian hopes in the men’s event, and the Melbourne crowd will be delighted to see one of their own in the fourth round.
Sinner will be the second Italian he has faced in the competition this year, having begun with a four set victory over Lorenzo Musetti.
He then had a straight sets win over the Pole Karel Majchrzak, the world number 107, to earn himself a place in the third round of his home Grand Slam for the third time in his career.
There he met the Spaniard Pablo Andujar-Alba, the world number 83, a man more at home on a clay court.
It was a match that the Australian, basking in the support of the locals, dominated almost from the start, after the pair swapped early service breaks.
Another break put him in front and, although the Spaniard saved one set point, de Minaur converted his second on his own serve.
An early break of serve in the second set put him in control, and he was able to just consolidate his position from there.
By now Andujar-Alba was under constant pressure on his serve.
He saved three break points at the start of the third set, but then was broken twice more, giving de Minaur the chance to serve out for the match, which he duly did.

Sinner Beats Murray Conqueror
Sinner has never been beyond the second round in Melbourne before, but he has now emulated his previous best at a Grand Slam, having reached the fourth round, at Roland Garros and in New York last year.
His latest campaign began with a straight sets win over the Portuguese qualifier Joao Sousa, and then he followed that up with an equally comfortable victory over the experienced American, Steve Johnson, the world number 104.
In the third round on Saturday, he met another qualifier in the form of the world 120 Taro Daniel, who had ended Andy Murray’s interest in the tournament on Thursday.
The first set was scrappy, with first Daniel dropping his serve twice, only for the Italian to match him. However, another break of serve restored Sinner’s lead and he closed out the set from there.
Daniel hit back strongly in the second set, breaking the Italian twice and taking it for the loss of a single game.
The third set developed into a serving contest, with Sinner the only man to have to save a break point until the eight game when he had four opportunities to break the Japanese, the fourth of which he took.
He squandered three set points in the next game, but not the fourth.
When Daniel was broken at the start of the fourth set, the tide had turned decisively in the Sinner’s favour
Two more breaks enabled him to wrap up the match.
De Minaur v Sinner Prediction and Tip
Neither man has been in a Grand Slam quarter-final before, so it is a chance for both to achieve a personal milestone.
De Minaur will have the advantage of the overwhelming support from the local crowd, but Sinner has won their only two previous meetings, and he may just have the psychological edge.
