Vesely Comes into Tie as the Underdog
Most recently, Vesely is coming off reaching the quarter-finals of the Bengaluru challenger in India, where he was the top seed but had to retire in his last-8 match against Couacaud after losing the first set 6-4. Prior to his quarter-final match, Vesely battled through two 3-set ties against Bellier and Gunneswaran to narrowly advance to the last-8.
The only other time Vesely has won consecutive matches in 2022 was after successfully qualifying in Sydney, successfully qualifying without dropping a set coming through against Pouille and Kudla before losing in the 1st round of the main draw Nakashima 7-6(2) 7-6(0).
Vesely comes into this tie as the lower-ranked player and the underdog, he will have to play his best tennis if he wants to stand a chance of advancing to the next round.

Rinderknech First Match Since the Australian Open
Rinderknech is playing his first event since the Australian Open after having to retire from his proposed second-round match against Evans after coming through a 5-set battle against home favourite Popyrin in the opening round.
Prior to the Australian Open, the Frenchman battled for silverware against Kokkankis in Adelaide, narrowly losing out 6-7(6) 7-6(5) 6-3 to the Australian. On his way to the final, the 26-year-old defeated Mcdonald, Kwon, Khachanov, and Moutet winning two straight set ties and two 3-set battles.
Currently ranked 60th, Rinderknech is the higher-ranked player for this tie, and the favourite to advance to the next round where he would face either Bublik or a qualifier in the next round.
Vesely v Rinderknech Prediction and Tip
This will be an interesting tie with 2 big servers facing off and holding serve being imperative, it is likely this could be a match of tiebreaks and fine margins. Nonetheless, Rinderknech is the favourite to advance to the next round.
