Daria Saville v Caroline Dolehide Head to Head
The pair have played each other once before at Wimbledon in 2018, Saville winning their first round match in straight sets.

Saville Progresses Past Injured Raducanu
Saville is more often found on the junior tours, and is just getting back to fitness having missed most of 2021 because of surgery on a troublesome Achilles tendon.
Prior to Wednesday, she had not won a match on the WTA tour this year, and only earned her place in Mexico due to her protected ranking, but she progressed past the world number twelve, and number one, Emma Raducanu, although not in the circumstances she would have chosen.
Raducanu claimed a scrappy first set and then served for the match in the second set at 5 – 3. She was two points from victory, but could not close it out, and the match went to a tie-break, which Saville eventually won.
The third set became a war of attrition. Saville had leg cramps whilst Raducanu had to take a medical time-out , and, when she returned to court, her upper left leg was heavily strapped.
Two games later, she decided to retire, in the middle of what was the longest match on the WTA tour this year.

American Qualifier Doelhide
Dolehide is better known as a doubles player, appearing in Grand Slam semi-finals and winning a tournament in Monterrey in the past.
Like Saville, she spends most of her time on the lower tours singles-wise, and this is her first time in the main draw of a senior WTA event since losing in the first round of the Australian Open.
She had to get through two rounds of qualifying to do so, beating first Nao Hibino of Japan and then Dalma Galfi of Hungary, but then achieved a surprise win over Lin Zhu of China, a woman ranked 71 places higher in the world.
It was a scrappy match, littered with errors and dropped serves. Zhu took the first set, but the American hit back to level and it went to a decider.
Dolehide seemed to be cruising to victory, two breaks to the good, only to see four match points saved, and Zhu recover one of the breaks.
However, when a fifth match point presented itself, she was able to finally take it.
Saville v Dolehide Prediction and Tip
This may be a question of the survival of the fittest. Saville is a much better player than her current ranking suggests, and she did beat Dolehide in their one previous match. However, the match with Raducanu will have taken a lot out of her and, given that she cramped up during that, may not be ready for another long battle.
