Stefanie Voegele v Sara Errani Head to Head
Errani leads 3-2 from their five meetings, including qualifiers. Most recently they met twice in the qualifying rounds in 2020, with both winning one each.

Stefanie Voegele is 10-9 this season, with most wins coming in the qualifying rounds.
The Swiss player has won just one of six main draw matches this year. That win came against Elsa Jacquemot in the first round in Lyon.
In her last tournament, Voegele qualified for the main draw in Miami as a lucky loser but couldn’t go beyond the first round.
Over the years, Voegele has just one runner-up finish and that was on the hard courts of the Mexican Open in 2018. She has produced results on clay, having won two of her eight ITF titles on clay.
Voegele has reached just one tour-level doubles final in her career and that was in Bogota in 2012 when she along with partner Mandy Minella finished runner-up.

Errani Woefully Out of Form
Facing Voegelle is Italy’s Sara Errani, who too has struggled for form this season.
Having fallen in the first qualifying rounds of the first four tournaments, the World no. 145 finally registered her first two wins of the season in the qualifying rounds in Monterrey only to lose the first round of the main draw.
The Italian, who was a top clay court player during her hey days, then won one and lost one qualifying round in Indian Wells before falling in the first round of WTA 125K in Marbella.
So with just three wins from all matches, the 34-year-old is clearly struggling this season. She is a nine-time champion on the tour with seven of those titles coming on clay, but hasn’t reached a final since winning in Dubai six years ago.
The 2012 French Open runner-up will be hoping to give her season some momentum in Bogota as she begins her campaign against another struggling player.
Voegele v Errani Prediction and Tip
Clay has been Errani’s favourite court throughout her career, so she would be a slight favourite to win this, although given her form it seems like an evenly matched contest for now.
