Alex de Minaur v Ilya Ivashka Head to Head
While they have never faced off at the highest level, the two did play at the 2018 Nottingham Challenger and de Minaur had cruised to a win there on grass.

de Minaur Overturns Mannarino Start
Adrian Mannarino made a strong start to his quarterfinal against de Minaur but the Aussie turned things around very quickly and efficiently to clinch his place in the semifinals.
De Minaur, who was on court for two hours and 13 minutes, claimed a 4-6, 6-3, 6-0 win over his French opponent to make it to his second semifinal in three tournaments.
Broken in the third game, de Minaur failed to get back at Mannarino in that opening set but clawed his way back in the second when he broke Mannarino in the eighth game. De Minaur served it out in the next game and then proceeded to break his opponent three times in a row to win the encounter.
This followed a first round bye for de Minaur after which he overcame James Duckworth in the second round. Can he now make it to his first final of the season?

Ivashka Shocks Paul
For the third successive match, Ivashka needed three sets to get past his opponent but this time around was even more special given he was 5/3 odds to cause an upset.
Ivashka did just that, defeating Tommy Paul 6-2, 3-6, 6-1 to march into his first semifinal of the season. He needed two hours and a minute to win the encounter.
Having overcome Quentin Halys and Steve Johnson in the first two rounds, Ivashka broke his opponent early in the first set and consolidated that with a second break in the seventh game.
Paul had a measure of revenge when he did the same to Ivashka in the sixth game of the second but that was the last time he would break his opponent. Ivashka took full control of the final set, breaking Paul twice and not facing a single break-point in turn.
Can he now turn on the screws on de Minaur?
de Minaur v Ivashka Prediction and Tip
While de Minaur is a favourite, Ivashka’s battle-hardened with those three three-setters. Expect a battle in which Ivashka wins at least a set.
