Ons Jabeur v Veronika Kudermetova Head to Head
There have been two previous meetings between these two players and Kudermetova has won both times.
Both matches came in 2019, before Jabeur had powered her way into becoming the strength she is today but Kudermetova will take a lot of heart from those straight set wins in Rosmalen on grass and Moscow on indoor hard courts.

In what turned out to be a one-sided match in the end, Jabeur did not waste a lot of time in getting past Madison Keys in the second round of this competition.
The Tunisian number one and the world number five, who was playing in her first match since that heart-breaking loss in the Wimbledon final, defeated Keys 7-5, 6-1 to reach the last eight stage.
Jabeur was on court for a mere 79 minutes and that was enough for her to come through, overcoming a 3-5 deficit in the first set of the encounter.
She broke back in the ninth game, won the set by breaking in the 11th and then added three more breaks in the second set to complete the rout.
It might not be as straightforward against Kudermetova though given the Russian’s form.

Kudermetova Skips Past Liu
Kudermetova was made to work hard in her first round match by Camila Giorgi but it turned out to be a lot easier second time around against Claire Liu.
Having jumped up to 19th in the world, Kudermetova registered a 6-2, 7-5 victory over her American opponent to set up this meeting with Jabeur.
A break in the very first game of the opening set was followed by another in the fifth game and that was enough for Kudermetova to quickly wrap things up. In the second, things went to serve till the sixth game when Kudermetova got herself the third break of the match and looked to be coasting towards a win.
Instead, Liu stretched her out a little more as Kudermetova looked to serve for the match at 5-4 before dropping serve in the 11th game. This time around, Kudermetova had no issues in completing the victory.
