Sixth seed Anastasia Potapova has already featured in two finals this year. She won her maiden WTA title in Istanbul and finished runner-up in Prague.
Overall she is 20-15 on the tour and 31-21 across levels. In her last two tournaments she won her first round matches at the U.S. Open and in Portoroz but fell in the second round of both the tournaments.
Potapova also reached the semifinals in Lausanne and Hamburg this year.
She is 13-13 on hard courts, with her best coming in Prague where she lost to Marie Bouzkova in the final. She was also a quarterfinalist in Melbourne Summer Set 1.
The Russian is expected to reach at least the quarterfinals in Monastir as well.

Andreeva, 15, to Make Her Debut
Facing Potapova in the first round will be 15-year-old Mirra Andreeva, who will be making her tour debut.
Andreeva is 30-6 from all levels this year and 12-2 on hard courts.
She has only played at the ITF level, winning one hard court title and triumphing twice on clay.
