Paula Badosa v Petra Kvitova

A rematch of their Wimbledon clash earlier this year in which Kvitova will try to best Badosa one more time. She’s the favourite here for several reasons. She won their most recent clash at Wimbledon although it was a pretty close match that went to the distance in both sets.

She is playing at home with the fans backing her and it’s indoors. Indoors is not something Badosa has played too much and despite a pretty solid 25-17 in those conditions, Kvitova is 122-46 in her career. That’s a brutal score for the Czech player who had some issues in round one again Pera.

Badosa on the other hand is not playing well at all and she lost the last two matches she played. Her stay in Tokyo was quite short as she lost to Zhang and it’s going to be interesting to see whether she can actually win this match. For some reason, I don’t really trust Kvitova in this spot.

We’ll back Badosa but it’s a very questionable one. Tread carefully.

Tip: Badosa to win: 11/10 (Click Here to Bet with bet365)

Iga Swiatek v Ajla Tomljanovic

Iga Swiatek is back in Ostrava having played at the event last year. She didn’t win the trophy last year but she is hoping to change that this year and the chance is a good one. It’s her first event since winning the US Open so she should be confident albeit lacking some rhythm.

Ajla Tomljanovic will be in a better rhythm as she had to play not one match but three matches to get to round two. She won all three fairly comfortably continuing her really strong season overall. She is 35-23 overall but her indoor record has never been that great.

Swiatek is 57-7 this year which speaks for itself. There is not much to add to that and she is 15-4 indoors so the favourite in this one is clear. Swiatek is expected to win and we think she will do it in two sets and that’s it. Not much to add.

Tip: Swiatek to win in straight sets: 1/2 (Click Here to Bet with bet365)

Karolina Muchova v Beatriz Haddad Maia

Another interesting matchup tomorrow will be between Karolina Muchova and Beatriz Haddad Maia. It’s a round one match and it’s one hell of a matchup between two players who actually play a rather similar style. Both have a strong and precise serve and both like to attack as soon as the point starts.

Muchova was a great player in great form but injuries completely derailed her season and stopped her rise. Haddad Maia fared much better as she made her way to the top of tennis after a brilliant season that is still going strong. The Brazilian is faltering in recent weeks but that’s to be expected.

Muchova looked good in Tallinn last week and she is favoured her for good reason. Haddad Maia’s season seems to be trending downward so the Czech player will have a great chance to take this one in front of native fans. She won their previous match but it was in 2016.

Tip: Muchova to win the match: 5/6 (Click Here to Bet with bet365)
