Daria Kasatkina v Anna Kalinskaya Head to Head
Kasatkina leads 3-0; she has prevailed in straight sets on all three occasions – including the most recent meeting in the 2022 Melbourne Set 2.

Kasatkina Storms Past Zhu
World No. 11 Daria Kasatkina did not waste any time in getting started. With a bye into round two, she dispatched China’s Lin Zhu with absolute ease – winning the match 6-1, 6-2.
Still in contention for the WTA Finals, the 25-year-old Russian has improved her record for the year to 40-19 and is on the track to make amends for her last three tournaments.
Across the US Open, WTA Ostrava, and San Diego, she could manage just two wins – but that rut was preceded by titles from Granby and San Jose. In addition, Kasatkina also reached the semifinal in the French Open and Italian Open.
With wind in her sails and a fair bit of experience, Daria is all but set to reach the quarterfinals in Guadalajara.

Kalinskaya Continues to Impress
Anna Kalinskaya is set to compete in her third, third-round WTA 1000 match this year. Her last two times were in Indian Wells and Miami, where she couldn’t quite make it past this stage.
She hopes to go further this time, but the odds are stacked against her. For what it is worth, she has a better chance than she did the last two times.
Kalinskaya’s journey this week saw her beat the Czech prodigy Barbora Krejcikova 6-3, 6-4, and later the doubles veteran Elise Mertens 6-4, 0-6, 7-5.
She is now 26-19 and currently ranked #73, after peaking at the 51st spot only in September.
Her season’s highlights have come in the doubles department where, with Caty McNally, she won the St. Petersburg Trophy and later was the finalist in the Citi Open.
On the singles circuit, the best she has done is reaching the third round (as a qualifier) in Miami and Indian Wells, the quarterfinals in Washington DC, and the semis here in Guadalajara – but in the WTA 250 edition.
Kasatkina v Kalinskaya Prediction and Tip
This match is Kasatkina’s to lose; she has everything going on for her at the moment and anything short of a straight-set win would be simply unacceptable.
Tip: Kasatkina to Win 2-0: 4/7 (Click Here to Bet with bet365)
