Danielle Collins v Veronika Kudermetova

A very interesting matchup between two players that have played well so far will happen in Adelaide as Collins takes on Kudermetova.

Both of them have done well to make it to this stage of the event and the Russian has been particularly strong to start the year. She holds a 3-1 record so far and actually defeated Collins in their only previous meeting. It happened last year in Miami 6-3 6-2.

They both won against some solid players to make it to the quarter-final and it’s going to be a very close affair. Both play very aggressively and can serve well albeit COllins has a better serve. That serve carried her in Australia last year so that’s something to note.

Collins is not playing as well as he did last year but I think she can win this match. Kudermetova might be a bit closer to winning it considering their recent play but either way I expect a close one.

Tip: Over 21.5 games in the match: 5/6 (Click Here to Bet with bet365)

Paula Badosa v Beatriz Haddad Maia

Another interesting matchup will be between Paula Badosa and Haddad Maia. Both layers are very good and have played rather solid tennis so far.

There are a lot of similarities in how they approach tennis as both have a good serve and like to attack with flat groundstrokes. Badosa had more success overall but Haddad Maia had a better year last year. The Brazilian is well on her way to becoming a top-10 player with her recent play.

Neither dropped any sets so far at the event but neither lost a match either. Haddad Maia is 4-0 in 2023 and Badosa is 3-0. It’s a tricky matchup to predict although Badosa is slightly favoured.

The key will be in how they handle the groundstrokes of the other. Who hits the ball better will ultimately win. It’s their first meeting so it’s going to be a very interesting one regardless.

Tip: Three sets in the match: 5/4 (Click Here to Bet with bet365)

Caroline Garcia v Belinda Bencic

Another excellent quarterfinal will happen between Garcia and Bencic. They played only one match in the past and Bencic won that one.

Garcia has yet to lose a match in 3-0 as her United Cup performances translated here. She faced Siniakova in round two and that was a solid win for her despite losing a set. Bencic has looked a bit better winning two matches but her opponents didn’t play that well.

It’s hard to predict what might happen as Garcia has a really strong game that can hurt Bencic easily. On the other hand, the Swiss player has plenty of weapons to hurt Garcia as well and it’s hard to fall on either side.

Even so, I can see the match ending in two sets because both players are quite streaky. Who starts off better will most likely cruise despite the nature of the contest being rather close.

Tip: Under 21.5 games in the match: 5/6 (Click Here to Bet with bet365)
