Daniel Altmaier v Zachary Svajda Head to Head
Daniel Altmaier leads Svajda 1-0 in their head-to-head, winning a quarterfinal match at the Puerto Vallarta Challenger two years ago.

Altmaier Winless in 2023
Daniel Altmaier was made to wait for his first win of the 2023 season, as he lost his most recent match in the Davis Cup qualifiers.
In a decisive rubber to decide who will go into the Davis Cup Finals later this year, it was Stan Wawrinka who rolled back the years to secure Switzerland’s shock win over Germany and at the expense of Daniel Altmaier.
Altmaier’s debut at the team competition was a learning experience, but Germany will reflect on an opportunity missed particularly having received a home tie.
For Altmaier it will be back to the drawing as the chase for a first win of the season enters a second month and in his fourth tournament.
Despite his 0-3 record so far, Altmaier has actually been a very combative presence on the court. He pushed Frances Tiafoe to four sets at the Australian Open and not to mention his battling display against Wawrinka in which he lost in three sets.

Svajda Qualifies for Dallas Main Draw
Zachary Svajda will make his main draw debut at the Dallas Open after coming through qualifying at the weekend. Svajda did not drop a set in both qualifying matches beating Aleksandar Vukic and then Stefan Kozlov to earn his spot.
Against Kozlov, Svajda had a parallel combination of winners to unforced errors of 17. And despite his landing 56% first serves, he more than made it up with his quality return.
Svajda broke Kozlov five times, and won 51% return points. The 20-year-old is coming off the best season of his career last season. He won his maiden ATP Challenger Title and is closing in to break the world’s top 200 in the first half of the season.
Will Svajda extend Altmaier’s winless streak when they clash on Wednesday?
Altmaier v Svajda Prediction and Tip
The odds are almost even here. You could make a case for Svajda getting plenty of matches on indoor conditions in the past week. But Altmaier’s level from the Australian Open and the Davis Cup should get him his first win of the season which I think is overdue.
Tips:
- Low Risk Tip: Over 20.5 games in the match: 4/5 (Click Here to Bet with bet365)
- High Risk Tip: Altmaier to win: 11/10 (Click Here to Bet with 888Sport)
