Alycia Parks v Rebecca Peterson Head to Head
They faced off in the final of the Andorra Open last year and Parks had come out a winner.

Parks Shrugs off Linz Shock
She is still early days into her career, which is why it might not have been a big shock to see Parks lose her first round match at the Linz Open after having won the Lyon Open title just two days before that with a victory over Caroline Garcia in the final.
Fortunately for Parks, she has been able to shrug that Linz defeat to Anhelina Kalinina off and start things here with a win. It’s a different matter that Fernanda Contreras Gomez made life very difficult for her on court and the first round match could have gone either way.
In the end, Parks frittered away four set-points in the first set but still came through 7-6 (7), 3-6, 7-5 to make it to round two. The match lasted two hours and 37 minutes.
Where Parks scored over Gomez in the match was her ability to rise to the occasion when under pressure, saving eight break-points in the process. On the other hand, she got herself just two chances to break her opponent’s serve and did it once.
Can she now take down the experienced but struggling Peterson in round two?

Peterson Eases Past Podoroska
In a match lasting less than an hour and a half, Peterson carved out a straight-set win over Argentina’s Nadia Podoroska to move into the second round.
Peterson, who has fallen off the rankings cliff and was playing in her first WTA main draw match of the year, had earlier made it to the main draw here by winning a couple of qualifying rounds.
She shrugged off a break-back of serve in both the sets from Podoroska before earning further breaks in the sets to win 6-3, 7-5.
Earlier this season, Peterson had begun the year ranked 119th but a first qualifying round exit at the Australian Open and no other WTA tournament appearance meant she had fallen to 145th in the world.
Peterson did make it to the final of the Orlando ITF competition to help her with form and rankings but a win in the first round should be the real confidence-booster. Can she now make it two in two?
Parks v Peterson Prediction and Tip
Interesting to note that Parks is 8/11 to win this, not overwhelmingly favourite by any stretch. This could be to do with her performance over the last two matches but we will still go with her win here.

- Low Risk Tip: Parks to win: 8/11 (Click Here to Bet with bet365)
- Moderate Risk Tip: Over 22.5 games in the match: 10/11 (Click Here to Bet with 888Sport)
