Nicolas Jarry v Tomas Martin Etcheverry Head to Head
Etcheverry leads 3-0, beating Jarry twice in low-tier events and once on the ATP Tour. They last met in Cordoba in 2022 where the Argentinean prevailed in three sets.

Jarry Thriving in LATAM
27-year-old Nicolas Jarry is having a good time in the ongoing Chile Open, as he finds himself in his first singles final since the 2019 Swedish Open.
It isn’t really surprising either, seeing that he is a clay-court specialist (4 ATP finals, 2 doubles, 17 ITF/Challenger singles on the surface) and did arrive in Santiago with some momentum.
His last tournament was in Rio where he reached the semifinal as a qualifier, losing ultimately to Carolos Alcaraz. But this was not before he dismissed Lorenzo Musetti, Pedro Martinez, and Sebastian Baez en route.
Now ranked World No. 87, Jarry fought well and hard in Chile to reach the final, dismissing Juan Varillas, Diego Schwartzman, Yannick Hanfmann, and Jaume Munar.
His year-to-date tally now stands at 14-4 of which, he is 9-2 on the dirt track.

Etcheverry in his Maiden Final
Tomas Martin Etcheverry finished the 2021 season ranked #130. By the same time in 2022, he had moved up to the 79th spot after a year of slogging on the lower circuits (53-33).
Now, the 23-year-old is World No. 76 and looks set to move up further when the rankings are updated on Monday.
His journey to this historic, maiden ATP final saw him beat some big names. Starting with Fabio Fognini in the first round, he moved past the second seed Francisco Cerundolo, Dusan Lajovic, and the third-seeded Baez in the semis.
It’s been an impressive display of skills from the youngster, who up until last week, had bagged just three wins and lost five matches in 2023. Etcheverry’s best result before this was a quarterfinal showing in Buenos Aires.
Jarry v Etcheverry Prediction and Tip
Etcheverry, as an underdog, is placed at high odds to win this one. To be honest, his chances of winning this one are not as low as what bookmakers make it to be. Of course, Jarry is the home favourite and more experienced, but Tomas is certainly skilled enough to counter all of that.
Tips:
- Moderate Risk Tip: Three sets in the match: 6/4 (Click Here to Bet with bet365)
- High-Risk Tip: Etcheverry to win in three sets: 3/1 (Click Here to Bet with 888Sport)
