Casper Ruud v Ilya Ivashka Head to Head
The pair have never played each other before. This will be the first match between the 24 year old Norwegian, and Ivashka, who is five years older.

Last year Ruud reached the final in Miami, losing eventually to Carlos Alcaraz. It was one of the highlights of a remarkable season that saw him reach two Grand Slam finals, as well as the ATP Final, although he had to settle for the runners-up cheque on each occasion.
He did, though, win three ATP titles, so his efforts were not totally without reward.
So far, he has failed to reach such dizzy heights in 2023, although he has played less than many of his peers.
He was beaten in the first round of Auckland, and the second round of the Australian Open, before taking more than a month off.
His return in Acapulco saw him lose to the Japanese player Taro Daniel, and then, in Indian Wells, where he was given a first round bye, similar to what he has received in Miami, his progress was halted at the third round stage by the Chilean Cristian Garin, beaten in straight sets.

Ivashka Romps Past German Qualifier
Prior to Indian Wells, Ivashka had not won a main tour match since Gijon last October.
However, he ended that dismal run in California by reaching the third round, beating Botic van de Zandschulp along the way, before his progress was halted by Daniil Medvedev.
And he made a confident start to his campaign in Miami with a comprehensive defeat of the German qualifier Daniel Altmaier.
After the first four games of the match were shared, two successive breaks enabled Ivashka to take the first set,
He then broke the German three times in the second set which he romped through for the loss of just one game.
Ivashka dropped just one point on serve in the whole of that second set, and just eight in the course of the match.
Ruud v Ivashka Prediction and Tip
Although Ruud has struggled to reproduce last year’s form so far this season, at some stage the Norwegian will come good, and Miami might just be the stage for him to once again showcase his abilities. He should be too strong for Ivashka.
