Sabalenka has been a late bloomer, having never played in any Grand Slams at the junior level but went on to do reasonably well at the lower-level competition on the ITF level. In 2015, she won three of those titles, and followed it up with two more in 2016.
In 2017, Sabalenka added a WTA $125k victory by winning the Mumbai Open, announcing herself to the world, having earlier that year won her first ever Grand Slam main draw encounter.

2019 also saw her pick up three more titles, including her successful defence of the Wuhan Open and the WTA Elite Trophy. Interestingly, Sabalenka showed she had more strings to her bow when she won the women’s doubles title at the 2019 US Open with Elise Mertens as her partner. She also made the French Open doubles semis and Wimbledon quarterfinal.
Sabalenka’s game revolves around her power and aggression and she is at her best from the baseline.
