Paris Masters Draw & Order of Play

The 2018 edition of the Paris Masters will kick-start from October 28 in Paris with Jack Sock starting out as the defending champion. The big news, however, is that this Paris Masters draw will have Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic and Roger Federer, all of them featuring in the tournament. The Paris Masters order of play will be updated on a daily basis will be updated below.

The trio of Nadal, Djokovic and Federer have all been handed interesting draws but it’s the Swiss maestro, returning to the competition after missing out on two previous occasions, who has the toughest of them all. After a first round bye, Federer will be up against either Milos Raonic or J-Wilfried Tsonga in round two, while Fabio Fognini will lay waiting in the third.

Kevin Anderson, his vanquisher at Wimbledon could be Federer’s potential quarter-finalist before he will need to get past Djokovic in the semi-final. Nadal, who is in the other half of the draw, could be the finalist against him.

Roger Federer’s Potential Route to Paris Masters Final:

Round 1: Bye

Round 2: Raonic or Tsonga

Round 3: Fognini

Quarter-Final: Anderson

Semi-Final: Djokovic

Final: Nadal

Djokovic’s draw is a slightly easier one as after getting an opening bye he will be up against Marco Cecchinato in the second. He could face his real tough challenge in the third round where he faces Stefanos Tsitsipas before either Marin Cilic or Grigor Dimitrov await him.

Federer and Nadal could be his potential semi-final and final opponent.

Round 1: Bye

Round 2: Cecchinato

Round 3: Tsitsipas

Quarter-Final: Cilic or Dimitrov

Semi-Final: Federer

Final: Nadal

Nadal has a good draw going for him, not having to face either Federer or Djokovic before the final. He also begins with either Fernando Verdasco or Jeremy Chardy as his potential second round opponents, before taking on Jack Sock in the third.

Dominic Thiem could be his potential quarter-final opponent if he can overcome Borna Coric before that, while the semi-finalist could be Alexander Zverev or John Isner.
