Alexander Bublik v Daniel Evans Predictions & Preview

This is the second meeting between Kazhakstan’s Alexander Bublik and British number one Dan Evans. They met at the 2019 Davis Cup finals which was won by Bublik in three sets.

Both Bublik and Evans are in the midst of a high point in their careers.

Beginning the 2019 season ranked outside the top 500 in the world, Evans had a consistent year, being a finalist at the Delray Beach ATP 250 and performing well at several other ATP tournaments.

He has got his 2020 off to a positive start with a good showing for Great Britain at the ATP Cup, and now ranked a career-high number 33.

Young Bublik sprung onto the scene in 2019 with some positive showings including being a finalist at the ATP Hall of Fame Championships on the grass-courts in Newport, Rhode Island.

His season has begun well with him defeating fifth seed American Taylor Fritz in straight sets here in the opener.

An entertaining match ahead with two unorthodox playing styles; expect Evans to win a close three-setter.

Albert Ramos Vinalos v Jordan Thompson Predictions & Preview

Veteran clay court specialist Albert Ramos-Vinalos plays Aussie Jordy Thompson for the second time in his career. The Spaniard won their first meeting on the grass courts of Wimbledon in 2017.

This is an exciting clash between two differing personalities and playing styles.  Seasoned Ramos-Vinalos has been on the tour for the last decade and more, and been a consistent performer on the clay.

With his career seeing a dip in the middle of the last decade, the Spaniard pulled back with positive results in 2017 as well a consistent season on the slower surfaces last year, maintaining his ranking just outside the top 40 in the world.

On the other hand, Jordy Thompson had a poor start to 2018, and resulted in him focusing more on the Challenger tour in 2018 and qualifying for eight finals.

Thompson had a positive 2019 and was a quarter-finalist at the New York Open and made the round of 16 at the Miami Masters, and other consistent round of 32 showings.

A battle of different playing styles- expect the home conditions to suit Thompson and win a close three-setter.

Pierre Hugues Herbert v Alex Bolt Predictions & Preview

French doubles specialist Pierre-Hugues Herbert plays Aussie wild card holder Alex Bolt for the first time in their careers.

Winner of all major doubles titles, Herbert continues to focus more on the singles game, with his Doha Open ending at the hands of eventual champion Andrey Rublev.

Adept on the faster surfaces, Herbert performed reasonably in the singles game in 2019, and will  be looking to further that this season. Strong at the net, he can be expected to perform favorably on the hard courts Down Under.

Little know Aussie Wild Card Alex Bolt will be hoping to put up a strong challenge against Herbert aided by home conditions and crowd support.

Expect a straight sets win for the Frenchman.

Tip: Herbert to win in straight sets: 27/20 (Click here to get these odds with Unibet)

Aljaz Bedene v Tommy Paul Predictions & Preview

Aljaz Bedene plays American qualifier Tommy Paul for the first time in his career.

Bedene has been on the circuit for a number of years, but had a positive 2019, with consistent performances that saw him break the top 50 in the ATP rankings.

He has had a decent start to 2020, where he looked in good form in Doha during the Qatar Open, before losing in the quarter-finals to Stan Wawrinka.

American qualifier Tommy Paul is still relatively new to the circuit, but did well to defeat Nicolas Jarry in the qualifiers and will look to provide stiff competition to the more seasoned Bedene.

A close encounter on the cards, which Bedene should win in straight sets.

Tip: Bedene to win in straight sets: 2/1 (Click here to get these odds with Unibet)
