Felix Auger-Aliassime v Andrey Rublev Predictions & Preview

Andrey Rublev and Felix Auger- Aliassime have met once before, which was on the clay courts of the Umag Open in Croatia in 2018. Rublev won that in a tight three-setter.

Rublev returned to the tour after injuries in the second half of 2019 and has been in good form since, winning the Kremlin Cup and defeating several higher ranked players.  2020 has also looked good for him thus far, with him winning the Qatar Open in Doha last week.

The young Russian got his Adelaide campaign off to a flyer with a convincing win against Sam Querrey in straight sets. He was challenged in his quarter-finals by the in-form Briton Dan Evans but came through in a tight three-setter.

Young sensation Felix Auger-Aliassime has been ranked as high as number 17 in the world very early in his career.  2019 was a successful year for the Canadian with three ATP finals and breaking into the top 20 in the rankings.

He also scalped some big names on the tour of the likes of Stefanos Tsitsipas, Grigor Dimitrov and Nick Kyrgios among others. He was an integral part of the Canadian team that qualified for the Davis Cup final against Spain.

Although 2020 did not get off to the best of starts for Auger-Aliassime on the Canadian team at the ATP Cup, he will be looking to set the record straight here in Adelaide, in time for the Australian Open. He looked in good form in his opener, after a bye against Aussie James Duckworth, and followed it with another straight set win against another Aussie Alex Bolt.

Both players have been in good form this week and this promises to be an exciting encounter. A clash between two upcoming players who have a lot of promise for this new decade. But, Rublev has been in prime form in recent times and should win in two close sets.

Tip: Rublev to win in two sets: 7/5 (Click here to get these odds with Unibet)

Tommy Paul v Lloyd Harris Predictions & Preview

This is the first meeting between Tommy Paul and Lloyd Harris. Incidentally both are 22 years old and ranked number 90 and 91 in the world respectively.

South African Lloyd Harris first broke onto the scene by winning the first set against Roger Federer at the 2019 Wimbledon opener. He has since looked to improve his form and results and looked in good touch at the inaugural ATP Cup last week.

Harris has topped it this week with convincing victories here in Adelaide against Cristian Garin and Laslo Djere in the early two rounds and then a clockwork 6-3,6-3 win against the experienced Pablo Carreno Busta in the quarter-finals.

Similarly,Tommy Paul has been in surprisingly good form, winning both his qualifiers and in turn defeating Chilean favorite Nicolas Jarry as well.

He continued his good form in the first two rounds defeating seasoned Aljaz Bedene and Pablo Cuevas. Just like Harris defeated a Spanish veteran in the quarter-finals, so did Paul by defeating Albert Ramos-Vinalos convincingkly.

This makes for a very interesting clash between two players who are most unexpected semi-finalists. Not much to choose from between both, and it will be down to a few key points. Paul has looked in good flow through the week, and may just inch past the South African in a close three- setter.

Tip: Paul to win in three sets: 16/5 (Click here to get these odds with Unibet)
