Fabio Fognini v Roberto Bautista Agut Head to Head
The two men have played each other ten times before, with Fognini leading their personal head to head series by seven matches to three. Batuista-Agut won their last meeting in Miami in March, but Fognini has won their two previous encounters on clay.
Fognini, Looking for Another Long Run in Paris
Fognini made the fourth round in Paris for the first time last year, and is looking to at least match that this year, having been buoyed by taking the Monte-Carlo Masters title at the beginning of May.

Bautista-Agut, Yet to Drop a Set
Bautista-Agut comes into this match with the proud record of not having dropped a set so far in Paris this week; in fact, he has only had his service broken once in his first two matches, which saw him see off the challenge of two Americans, Steve Johnson, and Taylor Fritz, in straight sets.
Like Fognini, his best previous showing in Paris has been a fourth appearance, reaching that stage in both 2016 and 2017.

Fognini is the slight odds-on favourite to win at 4/5 on, whilst you can get 6/5 on Bautista-Agut. This is likely to be a close match but, on clay, the Italian may just have the edge. This may go to five sets in the end, but Fognini is the more favoured to progress.
