Andrey Rublev v Mikhail Kukushkin Predictions & Preview
Andrey Rublev and Mikhail Kukushkin will be meeting for the fifth time in their career at the ATP 250 in Doha. Kukushkin holds a 3-1 advantage in the head-to-head with the most recent match in 2019 in Marseille, won by the Kazakh.
Young Russian Rublev sprung on the scene at the age of 21, but then went through a difficult patch in 2018 with injuries and poor form that saw him drop considerably in the ATP rankings.
He made a strong comeback in the second half of 2019, winning the Kremlin Cup in Moscow, being a finalist at the Hamburg ATP 500, defeating top ten ranked players and moving up to just outside the top 20 in the ATP rankings.
It was a mixed 2019 for Kukushkin, who made it to the fourth round at the Wimbledon, as well as made the finals of the Marseille Open where he lost to Stefanos Tsitsipas.
On the tour for a while, Kukushkin has not managed to capitalize on opportunities and despite being ranked in and around the top 40 in the world, he has been unable to push further. The Kazakh will be looking for a more consistent season in 2020.
A good contest on the cards; expect the Russian to carry forward his form from the end of last season and win in two close sets.

Jo-Wilfried Tsonga v Miomir Kecmanovic Predictions & Preview
Veteran Frenchman Jo-Wilfriend Tsonga plays 20-year-old rising Serbian Miomir Kecmanovic for the first time in his career.
After an injury ridden 2018, Tsonga made a good return to the tour in 2019, winning two ATP 250 titles as well as a Challenger Trophy and moving back to the top 30 in the ATP rankings.
A winner here in Doha in 2012, Tsonga will be looking to start his season on the hard courts on a positive note, on an increasingly competitive ATP circuit.
Young Kecmanovic went from strength to strength in 2019, breaking into the top 100, defeating Alexander Zverev in the ATP Masters 1000 in Cincinnati and ending the year just outside the top 60 in the ATP rankings.
The Serbian will be looking to carry the positive end to the season into 2020 and capitalize further on his game and ranking.
An interesting match-up ahead of us, with the French veteran winning in two tight sets the most likely outcome.

Fernando Verdasco v Filip Krajinovic Predictions & Preview
Serbian Filip Krajinovic and Spanish veteran Fernando Verdasco meet for the second time in their careers in the second round of the ATP 250 in Doha. The players met at the Metz ATP 250 in 2019, with Krajinovic winning in three sets.
Both players have been in erratic form towards the latter part of the 2019 season, with Verdasco facing some early losses and Serbian Krajinovic not maintaining the same consistency otuside of the indoor courts.
Verdasco looked in good form in his straight sets win over fellow countryman and veteran Pablo Andujar, where as Krajinovic pulled off an impressive victory over Briton Kyle Edmund.
Krajinovic starts as a slight favorite given his superior affinity towards the hard courts, but veteran Verdasco is always a force to reckon with.
A match that will be decided by a few points most likely; expect Krajinovic to win in a decider.

Milos Raonic v Corentin Moutet Predictions & Preview
Canadian veteran Milos Raonic meets 20-year-old Corentin Moutet for the first time in the second round of the ATP 250 in Doha.
Once ranked number three in the world, it has been a difficult last couple seasons for big serving Canadian Milos Raonic. Plagued by injuries and poor form, Raonic has seen himself pull out of several tournaments and drop outside of the top 30 in the ATP rankings.
The big server will be hoping for a good start to the season, and more so focus on being injury-free through the year.
After successful Challenger and Futures tours, young Frenchman Moutet broke into the top 100 with a promising showing in the main draws including a third round appearance at the 2019 French Open.
Expect the experienced Canadian to serve his way through to the next round in straight sets.
