Alex de Minaur v Dan Evans Head to Head

The pair have played each other once before in the final of the Nottingham Open in 2018 on grass, Evans winning on that occasion in straight sets.

De Minaur Continues to Impress in Front of Home Fans

Winner of three ATP titles last year, and runner-up in the NextGen ATP Finals in Milan in November, de Minaur has been in impressive form in front of his home fans in Australia. He began with a signature win over Alexander Zverev of Germany, battling past the world number seven in three sets.

Then he had another tough match with fellow 20 year old Denis Shapovalov of Canada, a man ranked two places higher than him in the world, dropping the first set to the world number 15, before bouncing bck to take the next two.

He was rested for the match with Greece, meaning that he is now raring to go for the knock-out stages of the tournament.

Evans, in The Form of His Life

Evans is in the form of his life, and is likely to break into the top forty in the world for the first time in his career, when the next ATP rankings are published. His week, though, did not start in the best of fashions, as he lost his opening singles match to Grigor Dimitrov of Bulgaria, the former world number three, despite taking the first set of him.

However, he recovered in fine style with a comfortable straight sets victory over Belgian number one and world number 11, David Goffin, and then comprehensively defeated Radu Albot of Moldova on Tuesday, exacting a measure of revenge for his defeat at the hands of the same play in the final of the Delray Beach Open last year.

Alex de Minaur v Dan Evans Predictions & Tips

As well as Evans has been playing in Australia, he is playing a younger man who is at the top of his own game, and has the advantage of appearing in front of his home fans. He also has the benefit of not having played the last tie, so he will be fully rested ahead of their match on Thursday.
