Cameron Norrie v Roberto Marcora Head to Head

The pair have never met each other on the tour. This will be the first time the 24-year-old Brit and the 30-year-old Italian will face each other.

Norrie Going Back to Challengers to Regain Confidence

The last time Norrie played at a challenger event was back in 2018 when he was looking to get more matches on the grass courts before Wimbledon.

But after a very impressive 2017 season where he won three titles at the Challengers level, he hasn’t quite made a smooth transition to the ATP level. His win-loss record for the last two seasons combined is 65-60 and this season he has already lost more matches then he has won.

This week he is the third seed at the tournament and will be hoping to get some wins under his belt to get his confidence back once again. He hasn’t won a title at any level for almost two and a half years now. This will also be a great opportunity for him to improve on that record. Norrie has the chance to once again move towards breaking into the top 50 rankings.

Marcora has had an Impressive Start to the Season

The 30-year-old Italian has started the new season in an impressive fashion. He has already achieved the best-ever career ranking of twice this season. He has been mixing ATP and Challenger level events and has had decent success so far.

His win-loss record for the season is 15-6 and reached the finals at Cherbourg Challenger as well as the last eight at Pune. He also achieved his best-ever Grand Slam performance by reaching the second round at the Australian Open.

Marcora has spent almost the majority of his decade long career outside of the top 200 in the rankings. It will be interesting to see if he can continue his impressive run and break into the top 100. In the first round here he won in straight sets against local player Gage Brymer.

Cameron Norrie v Roberto Marcora Predictions & Tips

Norrie starts this match as the favourite considering his higher ranking. But he will have to be on top of his game against an opponent who has been performing well this season. Marcora will give a good fight to the Brit but Norrie should prevail in the end.

Tip: Norrie to win in three sets: 3/1 (Click here to get these odds with Unibet)
