Diego Schwartzman v Philipp Kohlschreiber Head to Head
The two players have met just once on the ATP Tour. That meeting took place in the 2017 ATP Vienna quarterfinal where Kohlschreiber won in straight sets.

Schwartzman Overcomes Bedene with Ease
World No. 10 Diego Schwartzman has had a good run in the French Open so far. He is yet to drop a set and in the second round, he overcame Aljaz Bedene 6-4, 6-2, 6-4.
Among the four Grand Slams on the tour, it is the Roland Garros where the 28-year-old Argentinean has enjoyed some success. Last season, he reached the semifinal, beating Dominic Thiem en route. Needless to say, clay is a surface on which Schwartzman has always fared better.
Case in point, he won the ATP Buenos Aires earlier this season and later reached the quarterfinal in the ATP Barcelona. Moreover, 6 of the 11 times he has reached a final on the tour has been in clay tournaments.
In the Madrid Masters and Rome Masters this season, however, he lost his opening matches despite enjoying a bye to the likes of Aslan Karatsev and Felix Auger-Aliassime. In fact, before arriving in Paris, Schwartzman had lost four games in a row (with Lyon Open being his last stint).
But here, he has certainly done well to overcome those defeats as he now looks to establish a hold in the second week.

Kohlschreiber Delivers Best Run of the Season
The 37-year-old German has been struggling a great deal with his form over the last couple of seasons. Currently playing under the Protected Ranking rule in Paris, he exited the top 100 a long time ago and has been since trying to get back to his former self.
Kohlschreiber started his 2021 season in April with the Challenger event in Belgrade where he lost in the second round. He also played in Heilbronn in another Challenger tournament – this time, he reached the quarterfinal.
Between these two events, he featured in ATP Munich where he lost his opening match. The same was the case in ATP Parma too where he fell in the qualifiers.
So by reaching the third round in the French Open, he has already delivered his best performance in 2021. His journey so far has entailed four-set wins over Fernando Verdasco and the 24th seed Aslan Karatsev. This run also marks the first time since 2014 that the German has made it this far in the tournament.
Schwartzman v Kohlschreiber Prediction and Tip
Expect Schwartzman to win this one comfortably. Kohlschreiber may have the experience but he is out of sorts and touch. His opponent on the other hand has been in a much better form.
Tip: Schwartzman to win in four sets: 3/1 (Click Here to Bet with bet365)
