Anett Kontaveit v Camila Giorgi Head to Head
This is the first meeting between the two players on the WTA Tour.

Camila Giorgi has made it to the semifinal in Eastbourne International after upsetting the top seed, Belarusian No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka in the quarters.
The game went on for three sets and saw the Italian beat Sabalenka with 7-6(5), 0-6, 6-4. Earlier in the week, Giorgi dispatched the Czech No. 1 Karolina Pliskova in three sets too, to deliver her first top 10 win on the tour since 2018.
This marks the first since the 2020 WTA Palermo that the 29-year-old Italian has made it this far in a WTA event. In all the tournaments she has played in since then (except for the Lyon Open earlier this year), Giorgi never made it beyond the second round.
However, here in Eastbourne, she has been nothing short of exceptional as she looks primed for another good match. Starting as a qualifier, Giorgi faced tough odds to make it this far but to see her beat some big names, she is more than capable of dispatching Kontaveit.
If it’s any consolation, one of the two singles titles that Giorgi has won in her career was the Rosmalen Open 2015 (a grass event).

Kontaveit Gears up for Wimbledon in Style
World No. 27 Anett Kontaveit is set to compete in her first semifinal since the Grampians Trophy back in January. Back then, she beat Victoria Azarenka and Maria Sakkari to ultimately reach the final and share the trophy with Ann Li.
Since then, the Estonian has spent her time on the tour in attempts to repeat that feat again. And up until now, she had been largely unsuccessful with a majority of her runs ending in a third-round defeat. It is perhaps for these runs that Kontaveit hasn’t suffered a dramatic drop in the rankings and managed to stay afloat in the top 30.
But just like Giorgi, the 25-year-old has shown signs of resurgence as well in this tournament. In her opening match, she beat the Russian veteran Svetlana Kuznetsova and followed it with a 6-3, 6-3 win over Bianca Andreescu. In the quarters, she faced some resistance from the Swiss qualifier Viktorija Golubic but managed to survive her 2-6, 7-6(5), 7-5.
Kontaveit v Giorgi Prediction and Tip
Both players have enjoyed previous success on grass (Kontaveit winning the Rosmalen Championships in 2017). But on the whole, Kontaveit is a more consistent player and consequently, will start as the favourite.
That said, Giorgi is in a good form right now and will put up a solid fight.
