Oceane Dodin v Alexandra Dulgheru Head to Head
Their only previous meeting came in the qualifiers of the 2015 Miami Open and Dulgheru won that one in three sets.

Dodin might have played a few matches on clay this season but her overall record on this surface isn’t the kind you would expect from a player who likes the surface.
On the ITF circuit this year, Dodin has made it to the quarterfinals of two tournaments, both on clay and over the last three weeks. But juxtapose that to her only one main draw win on the WTA tour, and we are looking at an underwhelming set of results for the Frenchwoman.
The world number 120 had earlier carved out a nice couple of seasons for herself at the lower level and converted that to some wins on the WTA tour.
Which is why she had gone from being 509th in the world, to her current levels but the inability to break into the top 100 would be a concern. She could remedy that by winning a few here and going deep, starting with her opener against the former world number 26.

Dulgheru Looks at Clay for Comeback
She was ranked 26th in the world in 2011 but Dulgheru has fallen out of the 350 right now. After having missed most of the 2019 and all of the 2020 seasons, she has now returned this year to try and get back to her best, but it’s not been the easiest journey.
Clay has been Dulgheru’s route back though.
All of this year, she has played in 22 matches on dirt, and attempting just one other than that – at the Wimbledon qualifiers where she lost.
And while Dulgheru has done reasonably well on the ITF circuit, reaching the final of an event in Saint-Gaudens and the semifinal in Zagreb, her performances on the WTA tour haven’t yet yielded in a win this season.
She lost her opener at Bol to Barbora Haas and then fell to Caroline Garcia in Lausanne last week.
