Paire Should Have Been in Tokyo

Paire knows that he should have been on the other side of the world this week laying for France in the Olympics had he not been banned by his own tennis Federation for repeated incidences of bad behaviour.

After a string of early defeats, there have been recent signs of encouragement with runs to the quarter-finals in both Hamburg and Gstaad.

He began his campaign in Atlanta with a match against the world Yasutake Uchimyama, and was made to fight hard for his victory by the Japanese man.
