Rakhimova Making the Most of Lucky Loser
Kamilla Rakhimova has recorded two impressive wins against Mladenvoic and Alexandrova to make a Round 3 berth at the US Open. The Russian comfortably defeated compatriot 6-4 6-1 in the second round, winning 79% of first-serve points and convert 4/4 breakpoints, Alexandrova was no match for Rakhimova and is safely through with the loss of just 5 games.

The Russian is certainly going to have her work cut out against the French Open champion, Rakhimova has nothing to lose and should be able to swing freely and cause Krejcikova problems.
