Sorribes Tormo now plays her first indoors match of the season, in a tournament where she had reached the quarterfinals last year. An easy opener beckons against a player who has never been inside the top 225 on the WTA Rankings.

Zakharova Yet to Win Main Draw Match
Zakharova is very new to the WTA circuit, and only recently made it to her first ever main draw on this circuit when she entered round of Poland Open. There she had lost in her only qualifier but as fate would have it, a string of pullouts from the competition allowed her to compete in the main draw.
The Russian lost in three sets to Ekaterine Gorgodze but that looked to have given her some confidence.
Following that, Zakharova has featured in five ITF level tournaments before pulling out another main draw appearance in Luxembourg Open last season. That came on the back of a couple of qualifying victories, before she lost to Oceane Dodin.
And then in this competition, Zakharova has already stunned Rebecca Peterson and Astra Sharma to set up this meeting with Sorribes Tormo. Can she win her maiden main draw match?
