Jil Belen Teichmann v Magda Linette Head to Head
The pair have never played each other once before, this will be the first meeting between the 24 year old Swiss, and the Pole, who is four years older.

Teichmann who reached her first WTA 1000 final in August in Cincinnati before losing to Ashleigh Barty, was drawn against the Estonian veteran Kaia Kanepi in the first round,.
And she was given a good work out by the 36-year old.
Initially though, all seemed to be going Teichmann’s way and she found herself a double break-up. Serving for the set though, the Swiss player was broken, and again for a second time, meaning that a tie-break was required to separate the two, which Teichmann eventually claimed.
Teichmann’s serve was the first to come under pressure in the second set, and she saved two break points before breaking herself next game.
Yet again, though, she could not build on her advantage and she allowed Kanepi to break back to level.
But then the Estonian was broken to love, and this time Teichmann would not be denied and she closed out the match.

Linette Eases Past Wildcard
Linette got her campaign in Chicago this time round off to a winning start with a comfortable victory over the American wildcard Coco Vandeweghe, who is still working her way back to full fitness after long-standing issues with her ankle.
The Pole first blood by breaking the American in her opening service game and, although Vandeweghe hit back to straight way, she immediately found herself a break down again.
Another break gave Linette the chance to serve out for the set, which she managed on her this set point.
The second set was more evenly contested, until Vandeweghe fell a double break down. To her credit she clawed one of them back, but still had to save two match points on her own serve next game.
The reprieve was only temporary though as Linette served out next game.
Teichmann v Linette Prediction and Tip
As the higher ranked player and one who contested a WTA 1000 final only last month, Teichmann will begin the favourite for this match, although she may have to raise her gme against Linette after making such hard work of her first round match.
