It was a promising second half of the 2021 season for young Canadian Felix Auger- Aliassime. He made the quarter-finals at Wimbledon and the Cincinnati Masters as well as the semis of the US Open. He was also a semi-finalist at the ATP 500 at Halle and the ATP 250 in Stuttgart.
Auger- Aliassime recorded some noteworthy wins in 2021 against the likes of Roger Federer, Alexander Zverev, Matteo Berrettini, Nick Kyrgios and others.
The strong run of form also ensured that he broke into the top 10 of the ATP rankings for the first time in his career.
2022 has got off to a good start for Auger- Aliassime, where he and compatriot and friend Denis Shapovalov led Team Canada to their first ever ATP Cup title. Along with playing doubles with Shapovalov, Auger Aliassime recorded singles victories against the likes of Cameron Norrie, Alexander Zverev and Roberto Bautista Agut.
Ranked number nine in the world now, the 21-year-old will be looking for a good run at the first major of the season.

Russuvouri Looking To Improvise On ATP 250 Run
Currently ranked within the top 70 in the world, young Finn Emil Ruusuvuori has shown spark and ability in the last two seasons with a semi-final appearance at the 2020 Astana Open, and semi-final appearances in 2021 at Winston Salem and in Atlanta.
The new season was off to a good start for him last week in Melbourne with good wins against Jordy Thompson and Alex Molcan securing a semi-final spot for the Finn where he met 20-time major champion Rafael Nadal.
The Spaniard prevailed in straight sets 6-4, 7-5 but not before his young opponent ensured it made for a good match with good points and some anxious moments for Nadal.
Ruusuvuori will be looking to continue the promising Melbourne 250 run into the first major of the year as he looks to continue to move up the rankings and become a force on the ATP tour in the years to come.
