Laslo Djere v Maxime Cressy Head to Head

Laslo Djere is headed to Monte Carlo in good form, having made it to the semifinals in Marrakech last week.
The Serb defeated Jiri Lehecka, Malek Jaziri and Lorenzo Musetti, all in straight sets, before falling to Alex Molcan in the semifinals.
Thanks to that run in Morocco, the World No. 55’s season record improved to 6-7. He had a difficult start to 2022, winning just three matches in the first seven tournaments, and even making first round exits from Buenos Aires and Rio, which are both played on his favourite surface — the clay.
The 26-year-old, who has a 64-40 overall record on clay, has won both his ATP titles on the surface. He doesn’t have a great record in Monte Carlo though as he is 0-2 from two appearances and will be hoping to register his maiden victory in the first round.

Cressy in as Lucky Loser
Maxime Cressy was in sizzling form in Australia, reaching a maiden final in Melbourne, followed by a quarterfinal in Sydney and then made it to the last 16 of the Australian Open — his first in a major.
But ever since losing to Daniil Medvedev in the Round of 16 at the opening slam, Cressy has not won a match in the main draw, losing five in a row. He also lost a first round match a Challenger event in Lugano in the last week of March.
He finally broke the losing trend, by winning the first qualifying round in Monte Carlo against France’s Luca Van Assche.
He then lost the second qualifying round to Holger Rune in straight sets, but still made the main draw as a lucky loser.
The 24-year-old, who is 9-7 in 2022, will be making his debut on clay in Monte Carlo.
