Alize Cornet v Misaki Doi Head to Head

Doi’s Struggles On Clay Continue
Japanese tennis player Misako Doi is not a clay court player. She is 0-2 on clay this year, losing the first round qualifiers in the Rome and Madrid Masters.
In 12 past attempts, Doi has reached the second round in Paris only once which was in 2015. She was lost more matches than she has won on clay in her entire career.
Currently ranked 98, she achieved her career high ranking of 30 in 2016. She has an overall 5-9 record this year and is highly likely to slip down the rankings further.
The trajectory for the 31 year old is looking bleak. She faces an opponent who will have the crowd support, and despite beating Cornet in the past, she will not have much confidence in her game at this moment.

Both players are having a poor year but Alize Cornet is the more experienced player and being at home will give her a big boost. Cornet definitely has the tools to outplay Doi and should be able to do so in the first round match.
