Third seeded Zhang Shuai faces qualifier Anna Blinkova in her opener while in-form Maria Sakkari of Greece will be up against Magda Linette. Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova, seeded fifth has already been knocked out of the tournament, while Alize Cornet will be up against Australia’s Alison Bai in her opener.
