Iga Swiatek has been in a league of her own of late; no other player on the tour has been able to match her level of tennis.
The 20-year-old has extended her winning streak to 30 matches, taking her overall tally for the season to an incredible 39-3. She has won her last five tournaments – the recent ones being the Italian Open and Porsche Tennis Grand Prix. Swiatek also conquered the Sunshine Doubles and Qatar Open and in the process, she dismissed a litany of top 10 players on the WTA Tour.
The young Pole is clearly in her element, as evident from her clinical routs of Lesia Tsurenko and Alison Riske in Paris. She won both the matches with a similar score of 6-0, 6-2, taking things point by point rather than game by game.
With the early exits of several top seeds this week, Swiatek looks well on her way to conquering Roland Garros for the second time in her career.

Kovinic Scripts Personal History
World No. 95 Danka Kovinic has made it to the third round in the French Open, for the first time in her career. This also marks her second such feat in a Grand Slam this season as she reached the same stage in the Australian Open too.
With this, the 27-year-old has assured herself of a nice payday and a jump in the singles ranking.
Her victims here include the rising Russian star Liudmila Samsonova (2-6, 6-2, 6-1) and Anna Karolina Schmiedlova (6-3, 7-5).
Kovinic has had her moments this season, having defeated players like Emma Raducanu and Karolina Pliskova. She also reached the semifinal in the Marbella Challenger and won the ITF Wiesbaden although, she did retire in her opening-round match in Spain with Marina Bassols Ribera.
Although Danka is experienced, it is hard to imagine her toppling Swiatek. She is still rusty, inconsistent, and way behind in terms of skills.
