Before that, Rogers had secured a second Top 10 win of the season when she defeated compatriot Danielle Collins in the second round. While she can be erratic and inconsistent at the same time, Rogers remains a formidable opponent when she turns it on.
2022 has not been particularly kind to the American despite that notable accomplishment at the French Open. She has a negative win-loss record for the season heading to the grass and has done just enough to hold down a Top 50 ranking.

Diatchenko Set for Second Main Draw Appearance of 2022
Appearing in just her second main draw of 2022, Vitalia Diatchenko will look to leave a lasting impression. Diatchenko reached the quarterfinals of Lyon in her only other appearance at tour level this year, but was extremely unfortunate when she was forced to retire midway through the first set due to injury.
It was a real shame that she did not complete that match against Zheng, considering that she has built a seven-match winning streak following her success at the Macon ITF at the end of February.
The 31-year-old Russian found victories hard to come by since making her comeback in April, but managed to turn the tide at the end of May when she reached the semifinals of the Tbilisi ITF.
The former World No. 71 has previous fond memories of the lawns. She memorably captured the 2015 Surbiton ITF title by beating Naomi Osaka in the final. At the top level, she has beaten compatriot Maria Sharapova at Wimbledon and former Australian Open champion Sofia Kenin.
