Marton Fucsovics v Nick Kyrgios Head to Head

Marton Fucsovics stunned third seed Hubert Hurkacz to reach the quarterfinals of the Stuttgart Open on Thursday.
After taking the first set, the Hungarian was edged out in the second set tiebreak by Hurkacz. However, Fucsovics dominated the third, getting the only break of the set in the fourth game and then holding on to beat the World no. 13, 7-5, 6-7 (7-9), 6-3.
This was the second straight three-set win for Fucsovics, who had comeback from a set down to beat Austria’s Jurij Rodionov 6-7 (5-7), 6-3, 6-4 in the first round.
With the win, the Hungarian has now reached a third quarterfinal this season, following his last eight finishes in Rotterdam and Doha.
A quarterfinalist at Wimbledon last year, the World no. 55 had also reached the quarterfinals in Stuttgart in 2019. Can he reach his first tour-level semifinal on grass courts with a win on Friday?

Kyrgios Rebounds to Down Basilashvili
Nick Kyrgios fired 20 aces in a sensational comeback win over fifth seed Nikoloz Basilashvili on Thursday.
The Australian, who was a semifinalist in Stuttgart in 2018, needed an hour and 51 minutes to beat Basialshvili 6-7 (4-7), 6-4, 6-3 and reach the quarterfinals for the second time in Stuttgart.
The 27-year-old, who took a break following his semifinal exit from Houston in April, had been in great touch at the start of the season, which also included a quarterfinal finish in Indian Wells and a run to the round of 16 in Miami. He seems to have picked up from where he left on grass.
Kyrgios had begun his Stuttgart campaign with a 7-6 (7-3), 6-3 victory over Jiri Lehecka. Thursday’s win has improved his season record to 11-4. He will now be aiming to reach a second semifinal of the year.
Fucsovics v Kyrgios Prediction and Tip
While both players are in solid form, it’s Kyrgios who will be a slight favourite in the quarterfinal. He is a better record on grass and should reach a second semifinal in Stuttgart.
