Veronika Kudermetova v Ekaterina Alexandrova Head to Head

Ekaterina Alexandrova has always been a very solid player but the Russian never quite found the consistency needed for some big results. The 27-year-old finally found it this year; she is 20-11 and looks primed to improve it even more.
After surviving a three-set marathon against Dayana Yastremska in the opener, the current world number 30 dismissed her next few opponents with ease. She moved past Anhelina Kalinina in straight sets in just a little over an hour and followed it with a 6-0, 6-1 whitewash of Catherine McNally.
That match against the American qualifier took just 44 minutes as Ekaterina carved seven aces and won an impressive 83 percent of the points on the first serve.
Overall she’s been having a very good event but her match with Kudermetova is likely to be a demanding one. However, she has some pedigree to take inspiration from – Alexandrova was a semifinalist in Charleston and Madrid although, she did lose in the second round in Rome and Paris.

Kudermetova, on a Roll
Veronika Kudermetova’s tally at the moment stands at 23-11 – not that much different than her compatriot’s. That said, she has been a lot more consistent in 2022.
With three finals under her belt (all runner-up feats) on the singles circuit and four on the doubles, the 25-year-old is having quite a spell so far. Her recent most exploit entailed reaching the quarterfinal in the French Open where she dismissed the likes of Paula Badosa and Madison Keys. It was also her best result in a major.
Kudermetova is off to a similar start on grass as well as she beat Leolia Jeanjean, Anna Blinkova, and the number two seed Belinda Bencic in straight sets.
